Noelle’s Light is ecstatic to welcome two new members to our Board of Trustees - Courtney Knights & Simone Wood! Rock star moms and accomplished professionals, we are honored to add their energy, expertise, and shared passion for helping others to our Board.

Courtney Knights

Director of Development,
Public Art Fund NYC

Courtney has more than ten years of fundraising and event planning experience. She currently serves as Development Director at Public Art Fund and previously worked at Artadia and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees for Noelle's Light, she is a member of the New York Junior League and a volunteer with Children of Promise. 


Courtney holds a BA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in journalism and art history. She earned her MA with distinction in art business from Sotheby's Institute of Art. 


Courtney lives in New York City with her husband, Charlie, and their son, Theodore.

Simone Wood

Privacy & Public Policy Manager,

Simone has more than a decade of government and private sector experience in law and public policy.  She served in numerous roles in the United States Senate where she focused on communications, technology, and health policy issues.  Outside the Senate, Simone has remained active, through volunteer work and other efforts, on local and national political campaigns. After graduating law school, Simone worked at a large firm in media and communications law where she also maintained a government affairs practice.  She currently works for Facebook where she’s focused on privacy and data regulation issues. 


Simone received her BA from the University of Virginia and JD from Georgetown University Law Center.  She currently lives with in Washington, D.C. with her husband, Brian, and their son, Maxwell.
